Substitute Wedding Band
My original wedding ring is a gorgeous antique from ca 1910, with sapphires and diamonds cut in the old style. The thing is, jewellery worn every day doese’t last over a hundred years and it was falling apart. I was loosing diamonds! So, it sitts in a box in a glass cabinet waiting for a thorough fixing or maybe even a remake.
This ring is made from gold from a ring my husband bought me a long time ago and a stone my mother and father in law bought for me in Brazil. Probably a topaz. I had to learn a lot of new gold smithing skills to make this ring, and I started over I don’t know how many times. But Im very proud of the finished result, its not perfect, but its close.
